The Manager of Profitability Insights will identify, aggregate, and connect the business information needed to analyze and understand transactional profitability across all elements of the Consumer customer lifecycle. The role will serve as the subject matter expert for the Pricing & Value Creation Team’s deep interaction with Business Intelligence and Information Technology platforms – in particular, systems that control the prices offered to both prospects and existing customers (CRM / Configure, Price, Quote / order management / billing) as well as with systems that provide information integral to the analysis of profitability and pricing-effectiveness (data warehouses, job costing, revenue management, etc.).
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Subscriber Economics and other functions to build and maintain Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) models at various levels of granularity, and to establish an operational capability to assign CLV estimates at the transactional level
- Formalize and operationalize reporting of key profitability and performance metrics, including but not limited to: promotional campaigns, product/solution take rates, order types, customer segments, etc.
- Provide data management, reporting, and “what-if” scenario generation capabilities to multiple Go-To-Market teams in order to determine campaign effectiveness, measure/model profitability, and forecast business impacts of potential changes
- Capture, integrate, and analyze sales, installation, & payment information in support of strategic and tactical Go-to-Market decisions
- Manage and maintain multiple database environments in order to ensure data integrity throughout the assignment, execution, and reporting of pricing actions
- Represent Pricing & Value Creation on technical system implementations & enhancements, including but not limited to data warehouse environments, Configure/Price/Quote tools, billing systems, eCommerce engines
- Improve visibility into and analysis of full transactional lifecycle of customers, across segments, lines of business, product categories, etc.
- Present key findings to business leaders, with recommendations based on data-driven insights
- Manage, train, and develop one or more analysts in support of the above
Compensation
The pay range for this role is $58,800 to $117,600 annually, and is based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications
Skills & Capabilities
- Must have knowledge of data warehousing, ETL techniques and experience in interpreting and translating data
- Mastery of various tools including programming languages R and SQL as well as Tableau and Excel for analysis to reach conclusions, and best demonstrate the underlying learnings
- Experience in business presentation and executive leadership delivery communicating complex business analyses and conclusions concisely and insightfully
- Experience breaking down complex data & analysis for non-technical audience
- Ability to respectfully challenge with data to prevent a wrong decision
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage projects through to delivery
- Outstanding cross-functional teamwork and collaboration
- Capable of working under tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Be able to see the big picture, make thoughtful tradeoffs and focus on what matters
- Preferred experience with:
- Financial valuation metrics such as NPV, IRR, and DCF
- Pricing tools, techniques, and methods
- Work Experience
- 5+ years of directly related experience
- Experience with subscription-based business model preferred
Education / Certification
Minimum BS / BSE (preferably in a quantitative field -- Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, etc.)
