The Network Sr. Administrator will provide support for the overall network, working with users to resolve issues and support the network team in meeting the requests of management and the business to meet set goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support, troubleshoot incidents and outages, perform infrastructure problem resolution.
  • Working within a formal change control procedure, install, configure, and maintain network systems to support business processing requirements.
  • Complete assigned complex and/or long-term projects within budget and schedule guidelines.
  • Monitor, analyze, and tune network systems to achieve optimal performance levels.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new products and services; make recommendations for improvements and upgrades and assist in the development and documentation of technical standards.
  • Research, analyze, and implement software version/code upgrades and hardware modifications to resolve deficiencies.
  • Perform capacity and resource planning by assessing risks and developing contingency plans.
  • Assists the engineering team with modeling, physical design and tuning.
  • Assists in the recommendation of strategies for data center and infrastructure management from business continuity, disaster recovery, monitoring, storage, security.
  • Routinely audits hardware and software to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and configuration guidelines.

  • Mentors less experienced administrators on an ongoing and often formal basis.

Education/ Experience
  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 yrs
Requirements & Experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Networking technologies (LAN, WAN, and Data Center), VPN, Security, Wireless technologies, Firewall, and Load Balancer administration
  • 3 - 5 years of experience installing, administering and maintaining Cisco Enterprise network environments.
  • 3 - 5 years in a technical support role; i.e. ticket handling, customer support, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Cisco CCNP or other relevant certification or experience.
  • Experience in a large enterprise network highly desired.
  • Required to take part in an on-call rotation and be available for support issues 24/7.
  • Advanced background and understanding of business principles, practices and procedures preferred
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and able to work with limited supervision preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer focused attitude.
