Position Summary:

This is a strategic national sales role in the organization that will sell ADT Integrated CCTV, Card Access & Security through the means of solutions-based selling. The primary function of this position is to assist in the growth of ADT National Account recurring business by prospecting new opportunities in approved multi-site vertical target markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure proper application of systems products and services to meet customer requirements
    • Participate in customer meetings to discuss technology trends and roadmaps
    • Provide product demonstrations, industry shows, and exhibitions
    • Excel in the loss prevention environment
    • Review and prepare bid specifications and develop documentation
    • Create documentation – SOW work-plans, templates, SLA standard documents
    • Provide technical design for prospects and our field organization ensuring proper understanding by the field regarding systems intent
    • Review all specifications and ensure project designs and estimates are compliant with desired scope of bidding the work
    • Review opportunities with the operations team and obtain necessary approvals on estimate costs
    • Generate project cost estimates, quotes, and bids by generating RFI's, and reviewing project specifications 
    • Site surveys / meetings with the operations team

Education:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electronics/IT/or Computer would be an asset
  • CCTV, networks or related technical training certificate would be an asset  

Experience: 

    • Exceptional customer service skills in English
    • Knowledge of the practical application of construction and technology
    • At least 3 years’ experience preferred in technical sales
    • 1 to 3 years’ experience in CCTV System or relevant experience in the Telecom industry
    • 2 years’ experience in the Life Safety, Security or construction industry
    • 3 years’ proficiency in design, pricing and implementation of all types of integrated systems projects

Skills: 

    • General understanding of networks and technology preferred
    • Mechanical aptitude is required to comprehend Installation and design
    • Understanding of estimating cabling and conduit runs and a history of consistent estimate accuracy
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently taking initiative in identifying and resolving problems
    • Ability to develop solutions for designing and building integrated solutions
    • Ability to provide value engineering alternatives to the specified scope and design
    • High level of proficiency in access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm and CCTV products and concepts
    • Experience with Visio to markup floor plans
    • Familiar with reading blueprints, understanding current building standards and local/national codes
    • Willingness to learn and apply proven sales principles and practices
    • Knowledge of large projects, database connectivity, basic LAN concepts.
    • Comfortable selling medium sized engineered solutions with one time revenue up to $100k
    • Ability to generate high recurring sales and upsells recurring business
    • Proficient reader on latest sales techniques and the latest industry trends
