Reporting to the Director of National Accounts, Marketing & Sales, the Gov/Ed Business Development Manager will generate activity on a number of different levels within the GovEd vertical with the aim of closing sales and establishing sustainable business pipelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prospect and Profile existing and new customers to expand ADT Cybersecurity Government and Education business.
Develop relationships with existing K-12 Erate customers as a potential source of business for additional products and services supplied by ADT Cybersecurity.
Develop new prospecting resources, and identify potential sources of RFPs from state agencies, municipalities and institutions of higher learning, and manage bid response process.
Maintain a high level of activity and volume preparing and completing bids through identified channels.
Serve as the SME on the GovEd sector’s needs for cybersecurity-related products and services.
Act as liaison between Account Executives, Account Managers, Sales Engineering and all other internal departments
Work with all stakeholders within the ADTCS and wider ADT corporate organization on to ensure that the range of products and services offered meet the demand as expressed by GovEd sector planners and buyers.
Provide actionable intelligence to management on Cybersecurity-related issues in Government and Education.
Provide weekly reports to Management for forecasting
- Four-year business, marketing, finance or business degree or equivalent related experience.
- 10+ years in strategic outside sales channels selling complex products/solutions
- Defining and implementing strategy
- Directing large-scale program or project implementation to drive results
- Experience working with senior executives in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Proven ability to effectively drive change in a highly matrixed environment
- Previous experience in technical sales for the GovEd vertical
