Staff Accountant (Job 3014079)

Summary:
Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and prepare basic financial reports. Responsible for account reconciliations and documentation of source data (manual and systematic). Review, analyze, and document job processes and account reconciliation processes done outside of the GL group. Assist GL department with process improvements and account reconciliation efficiencies. Familiarization with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and assistance with maintaining those controls. Interact with external and internal auditors on a regular basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile low to moderately complex general ledger accounts monthly, including research and resolution of discrepancies.
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to GL as required.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems and reporting mechanisms.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Participate in month end, quarter end, and year end closings.
- Communicate with team members from other functional areas as well as external sources.
- Comply with internal controls and best practices and assist with other accounting projects as requested.
- Provide information for auditors and other special projects.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
Experience:
- 1 to 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Working towards CPA a plus.
- Experience with a large ERP ledger system such as Oracle is preferred.

This role requires you to be onsite at our Boca Raton, FL headquarters three days a week. The other two days are remote, offering the flexibility you need while still engaging in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
