Summary:
The Senior Manager will play a key role on the FP&A team, focusing on cash flow and working capital. This high-visibility role is responsible for forecasting, reporting, and analyzing cash flow in close partnership with Treasury, Accounting, and the broader Finance organization.
Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, the Senior Manager will lead and mentor a Senior Financial Analyst. The role requires strong accounting knowledge (ideally with a CPA) and the ability to connect financial reporting with forward-looking analysis. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to explain results, identify trends, assess risks and opportunities, and develop both bottom-up and top-down projections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual working capital and cash flow reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure proper cash flow presentation using the Essbase/HFM financial database.
- Build and maintain cash flow and working capital projections, including budgets and forecasts.
- Develop financial models and tools to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Analyze financial data and trends; prepare reports and recommend actions.
- Evaluate working capital initiatives, translating ideas into actionable strategies and supporting cross-functional execution.
- Partner with teams across Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Operations to explain results, identify risks and opportunities, and drive improvements.
- Manage and mentor a Senior Financial Analyst, ensuring high-quality output and professional development.
- Support ad hoc financial and business analysis as needed.
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field required.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Characteristics:
- 5 – 7+ years of experience, preferably in Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate FP&A with a focus on cash flow and working capital.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and concepts.
- Ability to bridge accounting knowledge with forward-looking financial analysis and strategic planning.
- Proficiency with Essbase and Hyperion Enterprise.
- Resourceful and able to work independently.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships across business functions and management levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
