150 Years of ADT: Celebrating Employees and Supporting the Community
On August 14, 2024, ADT officially marked its 150th anniversary of helping keep families and businesses safe nationwide. This significant birthday was made possible by the dedication of ADT’s employees who have gone above and beyond for the past 150 years. To honor this legacy, the ADT team celebrated with a series of exciting events that recognized both its team members and the communities it serves.

National Night Out
As the leading security partner of National Night Out, ADT once again showcased its commitment to community safety. Employees from across the country participated in local events, fostering stronger bonds between neighbors and law enforcement. This annual initiative allowed ADT employees to display their pride while reinforcing the company’s long-standing partnership with first responders, ensuring that the focus remained on protecting what matters most.
Ten ADT employees were selected to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) alongside Jim DeVries, CEO, and Jeff Likosar, CFO.

A key moment in ADT’s 150th celebrations was ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on August 13th. Ten exemplary employees, honored for their exceptional contributions, stood alongside ADT leadership to mark this historic occasion. Their dedication and hard work were recognized on a global stage, signifying the company’s enduring legacy and commitment to its people.
As part of ADT’s partnership with the Birthday Party Project, ADT employees threw a birthday party for 6 kids in Dallas that included music, pizza, and a firetruck tour.
Supporting The Birthday Party Project
Demonstrating ADT’s dedication to giving back, we partnered with The Birthday Party Project to bring joy to children experiencing homelessness. Throughout August, ADT sponsored birthday parties and activities, packing over 800 goodie bags and participating in gift-wrapping events. ADT also sponsored all of the August Birthday Party Project celebrations, allowing 244 kids to be able to be recognized on their birthday. These efforts demonstrate ADT’s focus on making a positive impact on the communities it serves.
ADT 150th Swag Boxes were sent to all ADT Employees to celebrate the historic milestone and recognize the dedicated employees who have fueled ADT’s success for the past 150 years.

To further celebrate this special milestone, ADT sent out commemorative swag boxes to every employee. These boxes included a birthday-themed 40-ounce tumbler, an ADT-protected Lego house, and a sweet treat—ensuring that employees, whether working in the office or remotely, felt appreciated for their continued dedication to the company’s success.

On August 9, 150 ADT employees gathered at a Miami Marlins game to celebrate the company’s 150th birthday in true South Florida style. The event, which featured a tailgate and birthday-themed branding throughout the stadium, allowed employees to connect while cheering on the Marlins as they faced the San Diego Padres. Highlights of the evening included Shana Bonilla, a breast cancer survivor and Solutions Advisor, throwing the ceremonial first pitch, as well as the opportunity for employees to engage with Marlins players.
