Angela Inchaustegui on Building an Elevating Workplace: The Role of Design in ADT’s Success
When you think about the elements that contribute to a company’s success, what comes to mind? The right talent, innovation, and technology likely top the list. But one factor that often gets overlooked is the physical space where employees work. For Angela Inchaustegui, ADT’s Senior Manager of Design and Project Management, creating environments that inspire, support, and energize employees is key to driving ADT’s business goals.
With a background in architecture and design, Angela has spent years shaping ADT’s workplaces into spaces that align with the company’s brand while also meeting the needs of its employees. Her journey at ADT has allowed her to apply everything she’s learned to spaces that foster productivity, engagement, and a sense of well-being. So, how does she do it?

Creating Spaces that Drive Success
Angela’s role at ADT goes beyond traditional aspects of workplace design— her team is responsible for creating environments where employees feel comfortable, inspired, and elevated to serve a great purpose. “When a space feels comfortable, happy, and bright, you’re more likely to be motivated at your job and perform at your best,” Angela explains.
She believes office design directly impacts how employees feel and perform. A well-designed environment motivates people to show up and do their best work. “You walk in, and it just feels good. You feel comfortable—when that happens, it means we’ve done our job right,” she says.

Aligning ADT’s Brand in Every Office
At ADT, the company’s brand goes beyond its logo—it’s about creating a consistent experience for employees in every office, no matter the location. Angela ensures that each workspace reflects ADT’s commitment to trust, innovation, and collaboration for all employees.
“We work with different teams to ensure that the building is safe, secure, and productive,” Angela says. “Our clients are not just external customers, but ADT employees. We aim to give them spaces that motivate them, help them be effective, and support them in their roles—whether they’re selling products, maintaining them, or ensuring technicians have the right setup in their warehouses.”
Designing with Purpose
Every design decision Angela makes is intentional. It’s not just about the appearance; it’s about creating spaces that help employees thrive. From selecting the right colors to ensuring the layout supports collaboration, Angela’s work ensures that every detail contributes to a productive, comfortable, and engaging environment.
“I always think about how the design will make people feel,” Angela says. “A well-designed space should make you feel like you want to be there and that you’re in a place where you can do great work.”

A Culture of Care Through Design
At ADT, Angela helps shape more than just physical spaces; she plays a vital role in fostering company culture too. “It’s a unique position where I’m involved in nearly everything that happens in the building. I led renovations to our HQ, organized decorations for events like Halloween and Thanksgiving, and helped plan our 150th birthday celebration and annual holiday party,” Angela shares. ” Over the years, I’ve had the chance to participate in some really fun projects.”

She sees her role as essential to fostering a culture of care. When employees feel valued and supported in their work environment, they’re more likely to be engaged and motivated to succeed. “Design isn’t just about looking good; it’s about creating spaces where people can thrive,” Angela says.
Looking Ahead: Growing ADT’s Brand Through Design
Angela’s work at ADT goes beyond the physical spaces—she’s helping to foster a workplace culture that drives innovation and attracts top talent. “It’s fulfilling to be part of a company that invests in its employees’ growth and empowers them to take on meaningful projects,” Angela says. “Seeing the positive impact our design work has on both our employees and the business is truly rewarding.”
