Knowing that I have possibly saved somebody’s life means the world to me. So, yes, I’m happy that I’m one of the people that can be there for them in those situations. We have so many scenarios of family, a young man was having a graduation party in a house full of kids, and they went to sleep, and a carbon monoxide detector went off.
And of course, no smell, nobody knows. But thank god ADT picked up that signal, and we were able to get, I believe it was 12 people, out of that home before anything happened to them. And that’s just the best feeling knowing that we were able to get them out of that home, and they weren’t affected, and they were happy we were there for them as well. So I think it just works on both sides. I don’t think you can give me anything else– money, anything. Just knowing that I made a customer’s day or just made them feel safe, that’s the best thing you can give me.

JANE CRUZ: My husband and I, Tony, have lived in this community for about 10 years. And we have two cats. And we really love it here. We call Blake and Allie our children because most of our children are grown. Our cats are everything to us. We love them both very much.
We’ve been doing a lot of improvements. One of the improvements was painting the kitchen. And we had to move the dishwasher out to paint it. We moved the dishwasher back into the spot. The next day, I left to pick up my granddaughter, about an hour away. And 15 minutes into the trip, I got an ADT alert notice flashing on my phone. I called my husband right away. I said, we’re getting a fire alert. You need to go home right now.
SUSAN: Central dispatch, this is Susan.
