Role Overview:

ADT is seeking a highly experienced Lead User Experience Product Designer with a specialized focus on growing and maintaining our Design System, Nebula. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UX design, exceptional visual design skills, and a deep understanding of front-end development processes. As the Nebula lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving efficient product development and delivering a cohesive experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, evolution, and maintenance of the Nebula Design System, ensuring consistency and scalability across all ADT digital products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Nebula into product development workflows, driving efficiency and coherence in design implementation.
  • Utilize your expertise in visual design to create stunning and intuitive user interfaces for Mobile and Web Applications.
  • Develop interaction design solutions that enhance user engagement and usability, aligning with ADT’s brand identity and product objectives.
  • Partner closely with other functional leads in an agile environment to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Own initiatives to drive design system education and adoption throughout the product engineering organization, fostering a culture of design consistency and collaboration.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in design systems, UX/UI design, and front-end development, incorporating relevant insights into ADT’s design processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience – 5 years of experience as a User Experience Designer, and 2-3 years of dedicated experience working in Design Systems. A history of working in, crafting, and maintaining design systems is fundamental.
  • Expertise in visual design principles, with a keen eye for detail and a high level of aesthetic sensibility.
  • Deep understanding of front-end development technologies and processes, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Proven experience in building native mobile applications, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects.
  • A proven track record of building native mobile app experiences and helping to lead those design projects is essential.
  • Ability to define, architect, and implement UX solutions based on stakeholders’ requirements and designs.
  • Advanced knowledge of FIGMA; familiarity and experience using Design system documentation tools like Zeroheight/ Storybook is a must.
  • Experience with Flinto, Principle, Framer, Lottie, Rive and/or other modern interaction prototyping/motion tools a plus.
  • Experience with Slack, Miro, Microsoft Office Suite, Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira, Trello).
  • Up to date on the latest UX trends to help apply them to new features.
  • Experience with usability testing and analyzing user feedback and behavior.
  • Capable of consulting with business and engineering to develop achievable solutions that meet business needs.
  • Must own duties that evolve from wireframes to prototypes to finished digital products.
  • Must be a detail-oriented, future thinker with a firm grasp of technology.
  • Ability to communicate and articulate ideas to project stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay organized and calmly manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards in product design experiences and design systems.
  • Four-year college degree required (or equivalent).

Pay & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $116,800 to $175,200 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.

We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
