Summary:

This role will support the Customer Care operations team and will be responsible for all Care P&L duties to include assisting with budgeting, business case modeling, variance analysis, and project presentations to executive leadership. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with superior communication skills, be able to understand business drivers, and work on challenging and time sensitive needs. This role has regular interaction with various business groups across Care and finance teams and requires strong people skills and the ability to build strong cross functional relationships.

You must be able to apply strategic thinking to ensure financials are aligned to key priorities, clearly communicate recommendations and scenario analysis to finance and business leaders, and monitor trends and key levers, such as headcount against plan/forecast assumptions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive key financial processes such as monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Lead the weekly forecasting and annual budgeting responsibilities for the Customer Care department, focusing on constructing reliable and automated data processes.
  • Prepare and provide financial reporting including communicating future financial risks and opportunities to the business.
  • Develop clear, user-friendly reports and communications tailored to specific audiences to ensure clarity, alignment, and support effective management and decision-making.
  • Collaborate and manage monthly close activities by interfacing with accounting and the FP&A team to investigate, reconcile, and provide variance explanations as required.
  • Partner closely with the operating team to provide transparency through monthly performance dialogues (including R&Os); provide proactive and collaborative analysis to enable the ops teams to react promptly to changing business dynamics.
  • Conduct analysis and research on current and future performance to provide valuable business insights and financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to create action plans that align with insights and business goals.
  • Work independently as well as within a group environment to generate and present project conclusions to business partners and executive leadership.
  • Work on ad hoc financial analyses and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Additional responsibilities include helping refine data processes through automation using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and more importantly, using that data to drive actional insight and results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred (i.e., Accounting, Finance).
  • 5+ years of finance, business, or a related analytical field experience.
  • Ability to solve complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
  • Experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an action plan.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Essbase) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Medium to advanced MS Excel required.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across business functions at all management levels.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Build financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
  • Create process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • Demonstrate experience in data analyses using Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Analytical focus – Create action plans from data/trends.
  • Essbase knowledge/experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
