Position Summary
Responsible for recruiting of and development of new dealers in your designated territory. Identifying and recruiting both incumbent independent alarm dealers and non-industry prospects into an affiliation with ADT as needed. Follow up on leads for new potential dealers.
Recruit new dealers both independent alarm dealers and non-industry prospects. Introduce the dealer plan including expectations, potential income, and requirements. Responsible for the growth goals for authorized dealer related to units inorganically through additions
Provides strategic counsel to business partners (dealers and others) on operational issues as well as actively participates in developing business opportunities Partner with Manufactures and Distributor’s to attract new dealers to ADT program.
Ensures that all business partners and their operations comply with corporate policies and operating philosophies/procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify New potential Dealer from the security industry. (2 to 4 per month)
- Have a HUNTER’S mentality in your approach to uncover large opportunities that drive business into our dealer channel.
- Focus on the home services industry, such as mortgage, credit unions, insurance carriers, cable/internet suppliers, etc.
- Work to develop a Regional Partnership Program (RPP) and make the introductions to our larger regional dealer partners. Create a new mentor partnership that will develop into a new Dealer.
- Thoroughly evaluate and understand the candidates’ processes, capabilities, experience and synergies that could make them a viable ADRT Dealer candidate.
- Develop relationships with the ADT Dealer base that qualify to participate in the referral, Sales Only, Install Only and NPP partnership program.
- Must have the ability to evaluate and make recommendations as to the best fit for dealers and partners.
- Identifies potential enhancements and process improvements to the dealer program to drive new dealers and new partnership opportunities.
- Recruit new partners presently acting as alarm resellers and non-industry prospects.
- Develops and leverages the training and programs to keep our partners engaged and growing.
- Provides strategic counsel to business partners (dealers and others) on operational issues as well as actively participates in developing business opportunities for new partner.
- Represent ADT dealer program at all relevant trade shows and events.
- Ensures that all partners and their operations comply with corporate compliance policies and operating philosophies/procedures.
- Facilitates communication of program protocol, program changes, and “rules of engagement” to business partners and Dealers.
- Works with Sr. Mgr. Dealer Acquisition to develop a core offer package for competitive programs coming to ADT,
- Prepare reports for Sr. Mgr. Dealer Acquisition to show weekly activity and opportunity summaries.
- Ensures that business decisions are based upon sound judgments and meet business requirements.
Qualifications – External/Internal
Education/Certification:
- Associates Degree or equivalent
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of security industry experience.
- Must be self-starter willing to go above and beyond to develop a lead pipeline.
- Have a track record of selling and developing partnerships.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed monthly sales performance goals.
- Successful presentations and relationship building skills.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). In addition, has successfully demonstrated the following competencies:

Pay and Benefits Disclosure
The salary range for this role is $80,000 – $90,000 a year nd is based on experience and qualifications. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
