Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting with the accounting for Inventory and Job Costing. This role will report to the accounting team manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage transactions related to Inventory and Job Costing while supporting month-end OPA close.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and resolve any variances in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with team members from other functional areas as well as external sources.
  • Comply with internal controls and best practices.
  • Initiate process improvements to increase efficiency of financial close and accuracy of financial accounts.
  • Support the financial reporting team as needed for preparation of Form 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings as needed.
  • Provide information as needed to internal and external auditors.
  • Support special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
  • Master’s degree in accounting or MBA.
  • CPA certification (preferred).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Experience with Inventory and Job Costing (preferred).
  • Must be organized and detail oriented, possess a systems background, be flexible, able to work independently, have good oral and written communication skills, and have worked in a medium to large corporate environment.
  • Understand accounting concepts and have ability to apply them.
  • Comfortable with and able to utilize computer technology; strong Microsoft Excel user.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and respond in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience with ERP ledgers systems preferred (Oracle).

Location:

This role requires you to be onsite at our headquarters in Boca Raton, FL, three days a week. The other two days are remote, offering the flexibility you need while still engaging in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
