Summary:

The Head of Integrated Comms Planning leads the comprehensive communications planning process, ensuring cohesive customer journeys across channels and business units. This role serves as the strategic bridge between media, creative, and business objectives, with a deep focus on the PESO model (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Comms Planning Methodology: Establish and refine structured planning methodologies across the organization.
  • Create Audience-Centric Communications Frameworks: Design frameworks that guide media and creative development, ensuring messaging resonates with target audiences.
  • Identify Key Touchpoints and Moments of Influence: Map out critical touchpoints and moments of influence throughout the customer journey to optimize engagement.
  • Collaborate with Creative Teams: Partner with creative teams to develop compelling, channel-appropriate messaging strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Translate Business Goals into Communications Objectives: Work closely with business stakeholders to convert product and business goals into actionable communications strategies.
  • Lead Strategic Campaign Foundations: Drive the strategic foundation for campaigns across various sectors, including residential security, SMB, health monitoring, and DIY.
  • Establish Measurement Frameworks: Develop and implement measurement frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of integrated communications efforts.
  • Guide Learning Agenda Development: Lead the creation of learning agendas that align with media opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Translate Plans into Goals and Project Management: Ensure plans are effectively translated into clear goals and managed through robust project management practices.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Structured Planning Methodologies: Proven ability to implement and refine structured planning methodologies.
  • Audience Insights and Customer Journey Mapping: Strong background in understanding audience insights and mapping customer journeys.
  • Successful Integrated Campaigns: Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Cross-Functional Experience: Experience working across multiple business units or product lines.
  • Stakeholder Management and Presentation Skills: Excellent skills in managing stakeholders and presenting complex strategies.
  • Strategic Translation: Ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable communications strategies.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
  • Experience: 8-12 years of experience in communications planning, strategic planning, or integrated media.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing external agencies.
  • Ecosystem mapping and understanding of PESO model.
  • Previous experience managing paid media channels (specifically biddable platforms).

Communication Skills:

  • Writing, talking/hearing on the phone (continually = 67-100% of workday).
  • Ability to synthesize complex ecosystems, martech, and data requirements into clear, actionable roadmaps that can be communicated vertically and horizontally throughout the org.

Location:

  • This role requires you to be onsite three days a week. The other two days are remote, offering the flexibility you need while still engaging in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams.”
  • Candidates must be based in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex or willing to relocate.

Travel:

  • Travel required occasionally to meet with external partners, meetings at HQ in Boca Raton, and/or industry events as needed.
