ADT is in the process of transitioning to a hybrid in-office work model, which combines the best of in-office and remote work. New team members will work from home, but should plan to return to a hybrid in-office model at a later date. We will keep you well informed and supported throughout the transition. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop Java-based software deployed in Kubernetes within a cloud environment, supporting ADT’s industry-leading home security services. This role also offers the opportunity to provide both technical and leadership guidance to a talented engineering team.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop robust Java software to support new features and resolve bugs.
- Design scalable technical solutions with minimal input.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in QA and Production environments.
- Ensure long-term performance and scalability of our systems.
- Research and recommend innovative solutions to meet performance goals.
- Provide accurate effort estimates for new projects.
- Mentor junior engineers in:
- Software development lifecycle
- Best coding practices
- System architecture
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Java programming experience.
- Proficiency in:
- RESTful Web Services and/or WebSockets
- SQL, Key-Value, and Document Store databases
- Cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS
- Git version control
- Agile development methodologies
- Bash and/or Python scripting

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $93,600.00 – $140,400.00 and is based on experience and qualifications.
Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
