Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Financial Reporting Analyst to support both our General Ledger Accounting and SEC Reporting teams. This hybrid role offers exposure to external financial reporting, and general accounting, providing a strong foundation for career growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
SEC Reporting and External Filings:
- Assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
- Develop and maintain supporting documentation for external reports.
- Perform data validation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of filings.
- Support Investor Relations with earnings materials and related disclosures.
- Contribute to the preparation of statutory filings and benefit plan reports.
- Complete government surveys required by federal, state, and local agencies.
General Ledger Accounting:
- Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies.
- Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems and reporting tools.
Cross-Functional and Project Work:
- Manage the internal support request list process end-to-end and provide support to auditors.
- Perform ad-hoc research and analysis for management.
- Support accounting projects and initiatives across teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay current on evolving accounting standards and trends impacting financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in accounting.
- CPA Certification preferred (or currently working towards).
- 1+ years of relevant experience in public accounting preferred.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and U.S. GAAP, with the ability to apply concepts in practice.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Workiva).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Location: Headquartered in Boca Raton, FL
Schedule: This role will be a hybrid split, requiring a minimum of 4 days in the office
