About the Role

ADT is looking for a Senior iOS Mobile Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering mobile team in Irving, TX. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain core architecture and customer-facing features for an iOS security application used by hundreds of thousands of users each day.

You’ll work closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, security, operations, and other partners to turn product ideas and Figma prototypes into reliable, high-performing mobile experiences.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning meaningful features, working independently, contributing to architecture and code reviews, and helping the team continue to modernize how mobile software is built and delivered.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain responsive, robust iOS features using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Own feature implementation from concept through production, with a focus on quality, reliability, and customer impact.
  • Use modern mobile architecture patterns and current iOS platform capabilities to improve the app experience.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code to help plan, build, and ship high-quality software.
  • Implement and maintain observability through tools such as Dynatrace, including metrics, traces, and logs.
  • Partner with development and operations teams to improve reliability and reduce time to detect and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate across backend engineering, security, operations, networking, identity, data platforms, and product teams to align scope, timelines, and priorities.
  • Help standardize frameworks, tools, CI/CD practices, observability approaches, and engineering documentation.
  • Lead by example through code reviews, technical discussions, and mentorship of other engineers.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong hands-on iOS development experience with Xcode, Swift, and SwiftUI.
  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience in a production environment.
  • 7+ years of overall software engineering experience preferred.
  • Proven experience shipping mobile applications or features used by real customers.
  • Experience with Swift Concurrency, Actors, async/await, caching, WebSockets, REST or GraphQL APIs, JSON decoding, and security concepts.
  • Experience working with mobile capabilities such as Bluetooth, geofencing, camera functionality, Wi-Fi, and related networking technologies.
  • Experience with Git, pull request reviews, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD tools such as Harness, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with Dynatrace, Datadog, or similar observability platforms.
  • Strong debugging, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • A willingness to adapt to evolving engineering practices and AI-enabled development workflows.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Matter, Z-Wave Long Range, or local AI inference.
  • Objective-C and UIKit experience.
  • Knowledge of OWASP, CASA, and mobile security best practices.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Background in security, smart home, IoT, or connected-device applications.
