About the Program:

At ADT we look to our interns to innovate, collaborate, and contribute to critical projects that drive our business forward. You’ll have the unique opportunity to meet with our executive leaders, gain insights into various areas of our business, and participate in community service projects, all while working on initiatives that deliver tangible business results.

Areas of Focus:

As an IT Intern at ADT, you will support our IT operations and systems management. You will work in one of the following areas:

  • Infrastructure Support: Maintenance of servers, end-user devices, and networks.
  • Cybersecurity: Assess risks, mitigate threats, and ensure the security of ADT’s digital landscape.
  • Project Management: Facilitate the delivery of key technology initiatives by tracking progress, managing timelines, and ensuring objectives are met.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) & Testing: Ensure software and systems meet quality standards before they are deployed.
  • Workstation Support: Manage IT and AV operations for large-scale events, provide technical support to ADT personnel including Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members, and troubleshoot IT issues.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with IT systems, networking, and infrastructure management.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, managing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior internship or work experience.

Additional Details:

  • Compensation: $22/hour for undergraduates, $25/hour for those who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree and are enrolled in a graduate program.
  • Work Schedule: A 40-hour workweek is expected, with interns on-site from Monday to Wednesday, and if no team meetings or events are planned, the option to work remotely on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Housing allowance and relocation assistance are not offered for Internship roles.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required, as we do not offer sponsorship.
  • Must be available for the entire duration of the internship program, from May 19-July 31
