Summary:

This role will help create and refine internal processes by leveraging design thinking principles to analyze and enhance internal processes, identifying opportunities for optimization. Collaborating closely with project teams, this role will provide data-driven insights and recommendations to drive efficiencies across HR Operations.

Experience working on projects and with data informs this individual’s ability to identify the incremental changes that can add significant value to a future-state process. An ideal candidate for this position brings experience with data, attention to detail, passion for optimization, and natural curiosity to learn how things work.

This role functions as internal consultant to HR Product Owners to deliver process improvement tools, methodologies, and effective facilitation tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Possessing a broad understanding of the HR Central (HRC) and Employee Relations (WFR) business processes. Understanding the implications and applications of emerging technologies along with non-technical processes. Supporting the implementation of process improvement initiatives across HR, through the identification of process gaps and application of design thinking practices.
  • Recommending end user-focused process improvements based on process analysis. Supporting the education of users responsible for managing and operating business processes to maximize operational efficiency with materials and educational tools. Supporting design thinking workshops and meetings to gather pain points and operational inefficiencies as part of continuous improvement activities. Encouraging stakeholders to think outside of how they work today to design new solutions.
  • Demonstrating ability to develop and communicate process maps, documentation, metrics, and insights in an accessible manner while conveying appropriate urgency and priority.
  • Adapting methods and recommendations in real-time in response to feedback and data. Maintaining currency with HR and data analysis leading practices, design thinking practices, and process improvement methodologies. Conducting research on emerging products and services that can support the needs of the organization.
  • Demonstrating sound judgment in ranking competing priorities. Developing metrics to measure impact of process improvements on performance. Escalating roadblocks or issues to appropriate colleagues. Demonstrating root-cause analysis to uncover the source of issues.
  • Recommending process improvements that further advance organizational strategies and goals. Demonstrating, through words, actions, and ideas, alignment to HR Operations and the HR organization’s strategic plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields: design thinking, data analytics, project management, or business administration.
  • Experience using and applying design thinking principles.
  • Ability to gather information and feedback to analyze information strategically.
  • Has exposure to managing complexity and ambiguity in business processes.
  • Experience creating data analyses and reports, identify patterns and translate meaning.
  • Experience as team member of cross-functional and matrixed teams.
  • Ability to measure process improvements in terms of time, money, and effort.
  • Ability to translate meaning, identify issues and make process improvement recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Team-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • General knowledge of HR processes

Location:

This role is a hybrid position based out of our offices in Irving, TX and requires you to be onsite up to three days a week. The other days are remote, offering the flexibility you need while still engaging in meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
