ADT is in the process of transitioning to a hybrid in-office work model, which combines the best of in-office and remote work. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop Java-based software deployed in Kubernetes within a cloud environment, supporting ADT’s industry-leading home security services. This role also offers the opportunity to provide both technical and leadership guidance to a talented engineering team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop robust Java software to support new features and resolve bugs.
  • Design scalable technical solutions with minimal input.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in QA and Production environments.
  • Ensure long-term performance and scalability of our systems.
  • Research and recommend innovative solutions to meet performance goals.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates for new projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers in:
    • Software development lifecycle
    • Best coding practices
    • System architecture

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of Java programming experience.
  • Proficiency in:
    • RESTful Web Services and/or WebSockets
    • SQL, Key-Value, and Document Store databases
    • Cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS
    • Git version control
    • Agile development methodologies
    • Bash and/or Python scripting

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $93,600.00 – $140,400.00 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.

Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
